Following the heavy rains and damaging floods back in March and April, two pastors report unusual wintry weather in areas of Cusco. These particular areas are typically mild and cool but rarely experience snowfall.
In the video above, Javier Saavedra Peña marvels at the blanket of snow, which is a new experience for him.
Hernan Leva Huari commented that it “looked like Alaska” outside. He expressed both amazement and concern for the agricultural community of Ancahuasi and his church family, in particular. Many of them will likely lose some or all of their crops as a result of the snow.
